Amen...I was just starting my normal day at the office just like all those who lost their lives that day to a heinous act of terrorism. Remember them today, tomorrow and every day.

I was driving to class in undergrad with my future wife. Could not believe it. Once I got to class the teacher came in turned on the TV and sat in the front of class and we just watched coverage the whole class time. No one said a word and then the second plane hit. Will never forget that day.

I was in class and the teacher announced when the first plane hit. We all gathered together in the room next to us which had a tv. God Bless America.

Walking into work from parking garage in downtown Fort Worth to SBC Building on Houston Street. My friend drove by and told me some kind of plane crash at the WTC from her car window. Spent most of the morning watching in shock at a community TV. It will be haunting forever. I grew up back East. One of the guys I played basketball against in high school died that day in one of those Towers.

Mike.....thanks for your great instruction, as always! I know you are an outstanding policeman, but you sure would make a great school teacher!!!

On 9-11, I was home with a little child and one in school. I went into "prepare" mode and got cash, food, water, filled up my car etc....It was such a pretty day outside and all seemed to be in slow motion. After all my preparation, I was then glued to the TV. Such a horrible horrible day!

I was in CA getting ready for school and my mom ran up and turned the TV on for my sister and me. I remember being very shocked and scared for those there.

North Arabian Gulf, in line for midrats. My job became more real that day than it had been in the 3 years prior. I still get the knot in my stomach thinking about it.

I was a police officer with Fort Worth at the time, assigned to a Zero Tolerance team. Within weeks I was in the New Mexico desert training to be a Federal Air Marshal, wanting to do my part. Guns, knives, hands, teeth, and claws. But never again. No fucking way. Not on our flights.

Good on the dudes still in the fight. Tail winds to my Teamates, still in the air.

I was employed with American Airlines sitting at the airport. That fact and being born and raised in NY made that day hyper-real.
My wife knew some crewmembers who gave their lives in this senseless act. We are still angry and mournful.

We had just moved to Texas and Rachel was 2 months old (I can't believe it's been that long). I remember the sick feeling I had wondering what sort of world she was going to grow up in. It was Raiford's 1st day at work as a Podiatrist. Today Rachel's school skipped uniforms and encouraged kids to wear red, white and blue. A small tribute...

Great to be back in the gym, especially on a day we can honor the fallen from 9/11.

I was getting ready for work when the first plane hit and made it to work to watch the rest of the tragedy unfold.

I was in my third period class (geometry, sophmore year of HS, Perkasie, PA) when the principal announced over the intercom that there had been a serious plane crash. By the time I made it to the next class, some teachers had already pulled out tv's for students to watch. Those who had watched the second plane strike the second tower live were in the halls crying and making phone calls. I feel fortunate that I did not lose anyone close to me that day and that I did not witness it live, but seeing it after the fact still brings tears to my eyes... never forget, never forgive.

I was making rounds in the nursing home. The TVs in every room had it on. Couldn't focus on my work at all, just shaking all over! Wanted to get out of there and go home and hug my baby girl!

I was taking my youngest to preschool and listening to the radio when I heard what happened. I picked up my other two kids from school and my husband came home from work. We watched tv, hugged our kids and knew that they would know a different world growing up than we did. Never forget.

i was wearing a badge, uniform and gun... watching it unfold. i had been 3 weeks retired from the Fire Dept... and knew some of the folks that rode the trucks downtown NY who were not lucky enough to make it back to the fire hall that day. i cried, i got pissed, i tried to enlist in the Marine Corp at age 39.5 and the staff sargent there said sir, we cannot take you...

i turned my focus on my children and was un-nerved by the lack of airplane noise in the air for two weeks,,, even ft worth seemed deadly silent...

what a spectacle.
