Wow...another well thought out WOD. As RX'd with 185# cleans and while I was able to get off the band and on the wall for HSPUs they were only "mini push ups". Done in 19:58.

With all the up/down movements a lighter weight would have probably brought on pukie.

Certainly a tough workout but some twirly birds after the hand stand push ups is a nice addition for those looking to hone balance and agility. Bring a bat, stand it on end, apply nose to handle, spin 3 times, then GO.
Heavy on the power cleans is 135lbs for anyone named Stack. No trouble with the back Ken, thanks for the streching tips last week. Finished at 20 min and change (I think).-Bob

Bob- twirly birds? Hmm...kinda sorry I missed that.

I ran err plodded this am, walked my dogs, and then rode my bike to work. It's gonna be a hot ride home.

Work is slow today. Somebody entertain me would ya? Anybody read any good books lately? Movies? Done anything impressive? Done anything stupid? Ok that was a dumb question. Whatcha eatin'?

Josh - next time you include HSPU's in a workout, can you please make it on a Monday or Wednesday? They look like fun, and I might actually be decent at these (unlike burpees, running, etc), or at least I was 20 years ago. I just tried one at home, and I made it down just fine without banging my head. Up was another story, so I'd need the band tho, even for a mini.

First time in a long time that I had to scale back a WOD, cleans kill me. 16 something at 155#, they are going to become my new friend. Great job everyone that was at the 430 class.

Ok Ali- Per your request the results of todays crossfit football wod...

set a new 5 rep max on deadlift at 365. should, and could have gone heavier

and the metcon for today was every minute on the minute- 5 burpees then as many thrusters @ 135 until the top of the next minute... im ashamed to say i made it through 51 thrusters 80 burpees in 16 minutes before i could no longer get my arms over head. your five year old probably could have done better than i did.
boom roasted.

14:0-something at 185 on pc's. soo glad I didn't do 225. Steven just had one rough element but fought through the hspu's without help. Ali and some other drop-in girl were dueling at 430 class. 12:something for other girl and Ali was just over 13:00. I didn't kill this one, it killed me. Still kinda woozy.

Wow Jared - That sounds brutal! 51 heavy thrusters in 16 min. (with 80 burpees) sounds like you were knocking them out until the muscle failure hit. Thanks for the update, would have been a good one to watch. I'm thinking about getting my big girl panties on next week and giving the metcon portion a try. Would be scaled to bar...

Loved the cleans today and pr'd consecutive pull ups but really blew it on the hspu's. Went 75#, wish I had gone for at least 80#. Amazing that Carly went with 105#!
