for those who did mr. joshua this weekend i would recommend you do something else besides annie. double unders with push ups or push press or air squats. something like that.

U ain't kidding, Ken. I went in at 0830 today with the idea of doing "Annie" with squats instead of sit ups... I couldn't even do that.

I've been trying my best to stretch out since "Mr. Joshua," but the slightest contraction or stretch absolutely kills me. Hopefully things will be better tomorrow. :) Can't imagine how Ryan is feeling right now...he did "Michael" on Thurs before the Sat WOD...Ouch!

150 ghd sit ups is no joke. aside from pull ups for beginners i've heard more rhabdo stories from ghd sit ups than anything else.

Dunno if I have that, but I am def suffering from abdominal swelling. I noticed that the first day and it has gone down a little, but it hurts even worse.

Athletically a year ago? I'm about the same I'd guess...except I haven't been running due to mah knees. I'm happy with consistantly being mediocre and/or sucking.

Personally? My life is still good yo...gots some family issues but this too shall pass as they say...as fo me...I take care o me and Iz good... hot boys still let me nibble on them, I'm employed, my dogs are healthy, my hizzouse was a supa decision, and my racecar is going to be even bettah to me next season cuz it's gettin' some long awaited chassis work. And mostly I gots more good friends than one village idiot deserves.

A year ago i was on the run from the law... Wanted in 7 states for cutting off chickens heads and bangin' horses... Man I'm glad that's behind me. It's amazing what a little crossfit does to straighten out your life...

5x5 back squat 315. 5x5 bench press 225. 3 power snatch on the minute for 15 minutes 145.

had to get moving to workout some of the soreness. i don't know what ava was talking about.

after two back go back pullup wrkouts "with band assistance" i might add, my arms swelled up like popeye's!!! couldnt literally extend for almost two days!! You guys did an unbelievable killer WOD!! Hope your abs get back to normal soon!!

This question reminds me of an acceptance speech my dad gave once after receiving a pen for 35 years of service to the college. He said "I came here 35 years ago in an old truck with a mountain of debt, two wonderful sons, and a wife who loves me. Now 35 years later I still have an old truck, a mountain of debt, three wonderful sons, a wife who loves me....and this pen."

Pr'd on squat clean today with 285. Last year at this time I would have been ecstatic to have done 225 sooo...

In the movie Dirty Work with Norm Macdonald he is standing under his own window while his girlfriend is throwing out all his stuff for losing another job. He yells up at her "Ah come on baby you're just upset. I know what you need...SOME DIRTY SEX!"

I hear ya! I can't extend my body upright. I went in this morning and stretched a lil bit, but now I can't stand up all the way. I've been walking around all hunched over, haha! I hope ur arms get back to normal!

PR on squat clean at 210#, I think I could have done a little more but it was hard to get any kind of extension due to my abs.

A year ago the majority of my work outs were scaled by half or more, all of my clothes fit and I was very intimidated by everyone at GSX. Now, most of my work outs are done as rx'd, most of my clothes are too damn big and GSX is like another home.

Last year at this time I was 4 months BC (before crossfit). I ran about 32 miles a week in the month of November 2008. Pretty much LSD. I did a half marathon in about 1:51 that month. Did that same half last Sunday in 1:55 BUT I only run about 12 miles a week now, feel better, and damn sure couldn't go unbroken on my 21 deadlifts of my first round of Diane at 225#. I am in awe of Raif, Ken C, Candice, Buzzard and many others. I really enjoy the crossfit cohort and the classes and just want to keep progressing.
