"Cowboy Tucker" - 17:30. Workout wasn't as bad as I thought but it definitely has problems. It seems like it's going to be metcon, but then you have this stop-down right in the middle with 25 HSPUS immediately after you're burned out from presses. They either should have been cut out completely or been first. The deadlifts weren't a bad idea but I think should've either been heavier and fewer or changed to back extensions. Overall, just an odd awkward workout. With all Tucker's contributed to CF, I'd think they could've named a more cohesive workout after him. I guess it didn't come from HQ. If it had, Tucker would be a dead hero, so I guess that's good.
Now Tucker, you threw out that "easy to criticize" label on me like I'm often critical of the workouts. First of all, I think I know as much about CF as anyone else in Ft. Worth, and it's possible I've been doing it longer than EVERYone else in Ft. Worth, so maybe my criticisms should have some weight. Secondly, I'm almost never critical of the CF workouts; I think everyone would agree that's not my way. My way is to be injured or if we're supposed to do Fran, to say something like "I did a bunch of 135 pound thrusters yesterday but I'll give it or shot", or to only do 19 reps instead of 21 when I think no one's watching. I wasn't criticizing you, or a workout you invented, but a workout I think will prove to be unpopular that someone attached your name to. Didn't you think the same things about it that I did when you did it?
Did 6:22 DL at 95 - was nervous to go higher because of the knee. I havent done DL in at least 3 months. Hopefully next time I will be bandless on the HSPU!
BIG ups to Big Joe for blowing up his Football total... Kid can move some weight, even though he still sucks at volleyball! Two PR's for me yesterday. 99 straight DU's and a 5:38 Diane. Raif did an awesome job on this setting a new PR at almost 4 times faster than last time! Chris, 4 minutes? Always 2 steps ahead arent ya?
This one was much more tiring because I've gotten better at handstand pushups and there was less rest between deadlift sets. Chris and Jason I know are really good at hspus but what is really freaky is how strong they are for there sizes to have done so many dl's soo fast. VERY impressive guys! Also great job on the du's Buzzard!
7:38 with 145# & an abmat against the wall. The muscle up attempts after class were fun (thanks Ken & Jason B), and I think I'll be able to get them on the bar before the rings - trying again Wed outside so I don't risk the head injury.
Platt - I think you think too much. I did not invent it,I merely copied it and sent it to Josh to post. We could all find things to say about WO's on the blog or CF main site.
