More like nightmare! This is a good one. Well thought out. The reps to weight ratio is perfect. As soon as you can't seem to do another rep your done and on to the next movement.
I used 185# DL, 20# med ball and 1.5 pood. I was smoked after 9 rounds and 2 DLs. Always a good workout when Griff, drop in Tim and I were sprawled out on the ground trying to catch our breath when Josh called time. Nice work by a good sized group for a Tuesday morning.
I'm sure some of you other animals (Buzzard, Steve and more) will throw 225# on that DL!
me thinks nosebleed will put people in touch with their lumbar region. tip: heavier on the deadlift and lighter on the kb. as in leave the 2 pood alone jason!
I have been thinking of this one all morning, a bit scared honestly. David, what is the DL weight?! I had NO thoughts at all on that 2 pood with this one, for some reason that KB is kinda tough to swing! Steven I may see you at class tonight depending on how much of this school I can get done today.
No worries with this WOD it will not sneak up on you. Instead it will attack like a scorned woman. 185 on the deadlift and I finished 8 rounds. Chuck and 'drop in Tim' did a badass job. If you do this on the skillet be careful and hydrate hydrate hydrate hydrate. Did I mention hydration? Good luck!
Good reminder Griff...we did talk this morning about just how taxing this WOD will be in that sun and heat! Everyone should definitely be smart and have some fluids ready. The reps are setup such that you will keep a pretty high pace throughout the WOD and your heart rate will be high.
Be smart, I've had sever heat exhaustion during a race and it is no fun at all!
Thanks kristy/ken - thought I'd go w/bw (close). Been nervous about it all day. My guess is won't be able to get the 1 pood up for the whole time period. Mike - gotta say, I love these challenge wods!! Thx.
Glad you like em'. Friday...man, belly sweat to the max. That's all I can say right now. All I can say. But if one were to go back a few days...maybe click on some photos to see where they take you...

Answer: Not really 'crazy sh*t', just various articles and videos that some may find interesting, and others trivial. Others still, indicative of a vast conspiracy.
Traveling this week...missing the "nose bleed" on the skillet. Motivated by the post I felt obligated to at least do "100 Burpees" in the hotel... time 7:17 See yall Fri. castillo
man...killer... got 8 rounds + 5 dl and 3 wall ball shots. great job to you guys who broke 9 rounds! ridiculous! but wow, good workout. my back is toast.
I had a tough time getting to the third floor. Did 185# and 1.5 KB, was going to do 225# but was advised against it. 7 rounds, seemed to hit a wall about round 5 Great job today everyone! Jason and Steven killed it today!
I'm pretty sure Steven miscounted and actually did 9 rounds plus. I think hypoxia affected his ability to count. Also he almost puked on his next to last round but kept pushing himself. Tenacious!
Fun wod. 2nd time doing bw deadlifts in a workout. First time I did I wanted to stop after the 2nd rep, today they felt good all the way through. Big test of the fish oil theory tomorrow. 115#, 12#, 1pood, 7 rds + dl + wb. Nothing was gonna make me pick up that kb again.
Mo & kristy - heard about the 105# cleans, awesome work!
It might have just been a mirage, but I could swear I saw the devil himself swinging a kettlebell with one hand and lashing his tongue between two split fingers on the other.
great job 4.30 class in Hades today...i know 7 rounds but might have been 8 (effect of the heat, not sure about the 8?)with 185# and 1.5 pood...a great workout to all at 4.30, even better outside in the sun, on the skillet, pushing through the heat...everyone needs to experience the 4.30 skillet at least once this summer (and not on a cloudy, cool day)
Scorcho got Scorched today. This one was brutal outside in the heat. Had Buzzard encouraging me along for most of it, but I still could only manage into 7 rounds. I think it was seven, but when the hands started ripping and the kettle bells started adding up, and the sweat started pouring it got harder to count.
Mike and Chev and the rest of the 430 class did a great job. The heat is really starting to add a whole new element to the workouts. I like it though, makes the "refrigerated" workouts seem a whole lot easier.
hated, hated , hated this wod!!! way worse than it looked. 7 full rounds, but barely. wanted to quit after 6 minutes but ken wouldn't let me. during 5th round said "this is my final round" but, again, he wouldn't let me stop. Dammit!! it was hard! dl (115#) were fine, wb were ok, kb(1 pood) sucked the everlivin' life out of me!

Keep up the great work. Looking forward to reports from the PM crews.
i would say 225 as deadlift weight. 1.5 pood kb. scale as needed. any heavier and you'll lose some of the metcon effect.
What did the women do for weight this morning??

Ali - I did this one by myself at the Y this morning with 115lb deadlift and 1 pood kb. Turned out to be much harder than I was anticipating.
crossfit football grace: 6:06.
ali
use 115.
Ahhhhh mannnn, bring it on NoseBleed!! You, me, and some friends 4:30 (or 6pm) on the skillet!!
If I pass out someone stop the watch and I will start it back up when I wake up.

Did all other classes do the WOD outside?
6 pm inside. "cooler" heads prevailed. 430 class was broiling. there times should be heat-dated.
It might have just been a mirage, but I could swear I saw the devil himself swinging a kettlebell with one hand and lashing his tongue between two split fingers on the other.
No maybe it was Reznor.

anyone who did that WOD on the skillet should be awarded a 1.5 round bonus!
Raif, I think it was just Josh you saw counting down 3...2...1
Well now we know what Ken looks like when he eats too much chili. Better call that bomb squad back.
No, that was just ken yelling at me to finish the damn workout!
Jessica says "that's Ken when he gets onto Ryan"
